I’ve just landed in Fiji after a nearly 11-hour long flight from SFO and will be landing again in Melbourne, Australia later today.
The National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) is dedicating an entire day of their exciting 2025 Circus Summit to Circus: Arts, Life & Sciences (aka, CALS). There are so many amazing speakers, artists, and others who will be attending this circus industry event. I can’t wait to hear their thoughts on the state of contemporary circus within both an Australian and more global context. I also cannot wait to speak about the past, present and future of CALS with fellow co-editor-in-chief, Dr. Melanie Stuckey.
